Thrombosed
Hemorrhoid Relief
Treatment of thrombosed
hemorrhoid is difficult and painful, often a surgery is the only
way left. In a case of thrombosed external hemorrhoids an excision
and draining of the hemorrhoid and surrounding tissue is made to
avoid predisposition to recurrence.
With internal hemorrhoids thrombosis the procedure is based on
relieving the muscle spasm, so that hemorrhoids can be pushed back
inside.
The best treatment is prevention, don't just sit and do nothing.
Get rid of constipation, and try having at least one bowel movement
daily, improving your bowel habits. Visit our Hemorrhoids Diet
page, and follow advice given there. It's really very simple.
If you follow hemorrhoids diet you will certainly lose some
weight, and regulate your bowel movements at the same time.
However if things come to worse, there are a couple of
treatments that will help you ease the pain:
- Take sitz baths (you'll be surprised what a little warm water
can do).
- Apply ice packs to a painful, irritated spot (be careful not to
apply ice directly to the skin, use clean, soft, cotton piece of
cloth as first layer).
- Apply hemorrhoids creams such as Zenmed Ziro to soothe and calm
irritation.
- Avoid further rubbing, don't use toilet paper use hemorrhoids
pads like Tucks or better still use shower or a bidet to
rinse.
- Avoid straining, don't lift heavy objects.
- Rest as much as possible, lie down, avoid sitting.
- Avoid dairy products (crazy isn't it, but dairy products
contain lactic acid which causes further irritation).
- Use laxatives, do this only if additional fiber doesn't help,
otherwise avoid them.
- Take anti hemorrhoids products like VenaPro, on a daily basis, both as a cure and as
prevention.
Thrombosed hemorrhoids
are the worst stage of hemorrhoids, try to avoid it, and don’t let
it come to this.
